Also on the podium in third place. Meanwhile, the country’s President, Vice President and Prime Minister have congratulated Krishna Nagar and Suhas Yathiraj for winning gold and silver medals. On this occasion, President Ramnath Kovind said that strong and determined Krishna Nagar proved its capability by winning a gold medal in badminton. Shooter Avni Lekhara will be India’s flag bearer at the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Paralympics today. Lekhara became the first Indian woman to win two medals in a single Paralympics. The 19-year-old has won gold in the 10m air rifle and bronze in the 50m rifle 3 positions. Indian Paralympic athletes have glorified the country with medals and prosperity at the Tokyo Games. India had sent 54 players to participate in nine sports including archery, athletics, badminton, swimming and weightlifting.
